We first got wind of the 60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290) set earlier this month and now LEGO has updated their databases with the high-res images for us to pour over.
This will be part of the January gift-with-purchase for the period of 28th of January to the 4th of February 2018 when you spend a minimum of USD$125 at any LEGO Brand Store.
60 Years of the LEGO Brick consists of 421 pcs and features four micro-builds to celebrate the 60 years of the LEGO brick patent.
The four models of LEGO Classic sets include the 1990 LEGO Monorail Airport Shuttle (6399), the yellow LEGO Castle (375) from 1978, the LEGO Back Sea Baracuda (6285) from 1989 and the LEGO Space Cruiser Moon Base (928 ) of 1979.
The set even comes with a special 2×4 printed tile that is included in a select number of sets released in 2018.
Sources have confirmed that we will be getting this set in Asia as well but the distribution mechanics haven’t been finalised yet.
Judging from the public response, this set should run out of stock before the end of the promotion period so I would advise anyone who wants one of these to get as quickly as possible.
