The LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collectors Series Millennium Falcon (75192) has finally been released and for those who managed to pick up a set, you all are in for a treat.
I’ve been building this set since Monday and I’ve just finished the frame and some of the outer detailing so I thought I’d take a break and share some of the unboxing pictures (and a short video).
The box is HUGE! It measures 45.3cm (H) x 38.5cm (D) x 53cm (L) which is definitely making this the largest box that I’ve ever encountered from LEGO.
The box opens from the side so I would advise to slide the box out instead of just lifting it out of the carton.
Once you slice open the seals and open the flaps, you are greeted by the 466 page ring bound instruction booklet which sits in a nice trough.
The really cool thing is that it doubles up as a sorting tray for your build. The sticker sheet was tucked under the instruction booklet and I’m quite pleased that there is only this amount of stickers for a set so big.
The parts are split into four smaller boxes and each forms up a line art rendition of the LEGO Millennium Falcon so if you’ were thinking of ‘throwing out the packaging, you might want to hang onto it.
Each box is stencilled with classic quotes from Han Solo like ““She might not look like much but she’s got it where it counts, kid.”; “I’ve made a lot of special modifications myself.”; “It’s the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 Parsecs.” and one from Lando Calrissian: “She’s the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.”
There are seventeen sections in all but they are not packed in sequential order which means that you would need to open all the boxes to get to your parts. I would advise sorting out all the bags before proceeding with your build.
I’m almost done with the build as I write this but will need some time to finish up the review and time lapse. Do check this space for our exclusive review!
In the mean time, here is a short video unboxing of the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)!
