Star Wars: The Last Jedi Teaser Trailer Breakdown

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

The teaser for Star Wars: The Last Jedi just dropped and while I’m not totally overwhelmed it does show a couple of new ships that would look to make some interesting sets.

While this is all speculation at this point, expanding the library of Star Wars vehicles and spaceships does give LEGO more material to work on considering that they will be producing LEGO Star Wars sets for years to come.

The first new vehicle that I spotted is of some pod based “Sand Skimmers” gliding over a desert plain towards some AT-ATs on the horizon.

It reminds me of those twin-pod carriers from Cloud City as it appears to have two cabins but the design is more rugged and make-shift looking with a balancing wing tip on the right.

The next one is during a space battle scene which has some new type of spaceship that looks like the front portion of a Nebulon-B frigate. They look like they are sporting some pretty heavy armour plating and are much larger compared to the X-wings and Tie-fighters zipping by.

There is also a quick glimpse of an A-Wing flying by and it looks more streamlined than the previous incarnation.

There is also the requisite shot of the Millennium Falcon with the rectangular radar dish. While the LEGO Millennium Falcon (75105) is still selling in the stores, it wouldn’t be too far fetch that LEGO would want to capitalise on this movie and punch out another Millennium Falcon in a different scale (either UCS or Midi).

It is anyone’s guess as to what LEGO might make into sets from this movie but do note that the Quad jumper which only had like 2 seconds of screen time in The Force Awakens before being blown to bits also made it as a set.

Now, who is going to be the first to MOC these new vehicular editions to the Star Wars universe?
