The LEGO® BrickHeadz sets have already started selling in most of the other regions and we are finally going to be able to get our hands on it come March 11th 2017!
To celebrate the launch, LEGO Singapore has lined up a whole slew of events and promotions for the LEGO® BrickHeadz line.
Feel a little twinge of confusion? Let me attempt to distill the information for you:
The LEGO Certified Store at Ngee Ann City (Bricksworld) will be holding a pre-order for 150 sets of the entire range of LEGO Brickheadz which will include Batman, Joker, Batgirl, Robin, Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Hulk, Belle, Beast, Jack Sparrow and Captain Armando Salazar.
Each character is going for SGD$19.90 but if you buy the entire range at SGD$238.80, it will come with an exclusive brick-built display base designed by Singapore’s only LEGO Certified Professional Nicholas Foo.
The pre-order period is from the 4th of March to the 7th of March 2017 and you will only be able to collect your set on launch day (11th March).
There are only 150 sets for this pre-order and it will be made available online at the Bricksworld webpage starting 4th of March.
The LEGO Certified Store at Ngee Ann will have 350 sets of the entire LEGO BrickHeadz range for walk-ins on launch day (11th March)
As per the pre-order, you will need to purchase the full set to get the exclusive brick-built display base.
There are only 350 sets for sale and there is a smaller set of 4 BrickHeadz for sale on that day as well which include: Batman, Joker, Batgirl and Robin for SGD$79.60.
Now, this is the part where it gets a tad tricky, individual BrickHeadz are NOT available for purchase on the 11th of March unless you buy:
But come 12th March, you can purchase the LEGO Batman Movie BrickHeadz individually and there is a separate gift-with-purchase which will give you two brick-built bases with every pair of BrickHeadz that you buy. This is open to ALL LEGO Certified Stores in Singapore and not just the Ngee Ann City branch.
Do note, these individual brick-built bases are different from the display base you get when you purchase the whole range. There are 1500 pairs of these individual bases to be given out so this is all while stocks lasts.
Now this is something that really interests me. LEGO Designer Marcos Bessa will be in Singapore for the first time and you may not be familiar with his name but he was the design lead on a number of very popular LEGO sets like The Disney Castle (71040) and the upcoming LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Silent Mary (71042).
He will be appearing on launch day for a meet the fans / autograph session from 11:30am to 4:30pm so come on down and grab a selfie (or three).
There is a slight caveat as according to the press release by LEGO Singapore, there are only a selected number of sets for him to sign which you have to purchase on the spot. He will NOT sign any set that is not purchased at the store. He will also NOT autograph any of the LEGO BrickHeadz as that is reserved for those who buy the full range LEGO BrickHeadz set or the truncated LEGO Batman Movie BrickHeadz set.
Marcos will not sign on any individual LEGO® BrickHeadz products and/or packaging.
The selected LEGO® sets Marcos will autograph are as below:
The Disney Castle (71040)
Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827)
Ghostbusters Ecto-1 & 2 (75828)
Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108)
The Simpsons™ House (71006)
The Kwik-E-Mart (71016)
Batman™: Scarecrow™ Harvest of Fear (76054)
I’m not too sure how this will play out as I’m quite certain that there will be some of those who would love to have Marcos sign some of their favourite sets as he has quite an extensive Brickography that includes sets like the Ewok Village (10236), Avengers Helicarrier (76042) and the exclusive Bat-Pod (5004590).
Those who purchase the entire range (all 12 sets) of LEGO BrickHeadz either through the pre-order or on launch day will qualify for a lucky draw to attend an exclusive workshop conducted by LEGO Designer Marcos Bessa!
Any AFOL worth his salt should know that this is really a one in a lifetime opportunity to interact with one of the more prolific LEGO Designers from Billund.
There are only 30 slots available and it will be held at the LEGO Singapore office on Sunday, 12th March 2-4pm. Lucky winners will be emailed latest by 11th March 6pm.
To coincide with the release of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast live action, the BrickHeadz pair of Belle and Beast will be released on the 18th of March throughout all LEGO Certified Stores around Singapore.
They will have the same promotion of the individual brick-built bases for every pair of BrickHeadz that you buy. They come in different colours to match the corresponding LEGO BrickHeadz that is on offer during that period.
This will be the period where the Marvel character BrickHeadz will be made available. Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow and Hulk will go on sale on 25th March at all LEGO Certified Stores around Singapore.

This will be the period where the Pirates of the Caribbean character BrickHeadz will be made available. Jack Sparrow and Captain Armando Salazar will go on sale from 1st April at all LEGO Certified Stores around Singapore.

There you have it. I would suspect that there might be some changes to these details leading up to the actual launch on the 11th March and I will do my best to update when the information becomes available.
And here is one more exception, due to launch of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tells No Tales movie, the last two BrickHeadz of Jack Sparrow and Captain Armando Salazar will only be made available on the 1st of April.
Which means that even if you pre-ordered or bought the whole range of BrickHeadz on the launch day, you will only be able to take home 10 of the 12 sets and the last two will have to be collected in April.
They may change this but that is the latest information from LEGO Singapore. If you have any other information regarding this, do drop us a comment!
