There was a rumour of a new LEGO Traveller set that would be released this year and and thanks to a good friend of mine who alerted me to an eBay listing, we now have our very first glimpse of it.
The set consists of 41pcs which includes a minifigure with an assortment of accessories like a camera, selfie stick, flippers, snorkel as well as some of those nifty thought bubbles.
It also comes with the LEGO Passport which I believe is the same one as you get from the LEGO Brand stores where you can get a stamp for each of the ones you visit.
The box looks like the typical steamer trunk/suitcase which acts as a carry case for your travelling minifigures.
This is definitely an update to the LEGO Traveller (7567) set from 2010 that has been the de facto travelling LEGO mascot for AFOLs. I would expect that this be quite popular once it is officially released.
I guess LEGO has watched the growing trend of people bringing their minifigures on their travels and snapping photos of them in different locations around the world.
No word on when and how much this will retail for (or if it will be a gift with purchase promotion) but we will update once we get more information.
I am impressed wif LEGO wif this well-thought approach. Well done LEGO! Can i have a free set?
