TV Spots Reveal Possible Alfred Pennyworth Minifigure

Warner Bros. Animation just released two more TV spots for The LEGO Batman Movie and it just might have given us our first look at a possible variant of the Alfred Pennyworth minifigure that will be coming in the second wave of LEGO Batman Movie sets.

It seems that in the movie, Alfred actually dons a vintage bat-suit that looks like it borrowed heavily from the 1960’s fashion stylings, complete with pocket watch and classic bat logo, fighting crime right along side Robin and Batgirl as his own superhero.

Alfred Pennyworth butler minifigure appears in the latest Batcave Break-In (70909) and he has traditionally appeared in previous incarnations of the Batcave like The Batcave: The Penguin and Mr. Freeze’s Invasion (7783) and Batman Classic TV Series -Batcave (76052).

Frankly, I think it is about time that Bruce Wayne’s guardian gets to flex some crime fighting muscle every once in a while and I can’t wait to check out the movie when it comes out.
