The Hong Kong Tourism Board is teaming up with LEGO for this year’s Lunar New Year Celebrations!
The 2017 Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade will take place on the first day of the Lunar New Year, 28th January and amongst the procession will be a fully decked out LEGO float.
A 2-meter tall LEGO Rooster and a replica of the God of Wealth, built by LEGO Certified Professional Andy Hung, will adorn the float along with 20 other LEGO minifigure characters which took a total of 220,000 LEGO bricks to build.
After the parade, all the floats will be docked at Lam Tsuen in Tai Po from the 29th of January to the 12th of February 2017.
If you are in Hong Kong to usher in the Lunar New Year, you might want to take note of this as this will be the first time that a LEGO float will be appearing in the parade.
