Build A LEGO Rooster Event Now Live

The Lunar New Year is just a couple of weeks away and Toys ‘R’ Us is celebrating with a LEGO community building contest where the participants contribute the bricks to construct a 1 meter tall LEGO Rooster.

The event is completely free to sign up and each participant gets a mini-chicken build with a goodie bag once you’re done with the activity.

I’m quite impressed with the contents as it includes three polybags, (City, Friends, Nexo Knights), a couple of sticker sheets from Star Wars and City, a notepad and pencil plus a Duplo car window decal.

The building activity is simple enough, it is a time challenge to build a single 8×16 stud brick that will then be added to the LEGO Rooster. The winner of the speed build will get an additional 8 more mini-chickens for their troubles.

These are the events that I quite enjoy where the community gets together for a common goal and there are some cool freebies to boot.

The building activity is on the 7th to the 8th of Jan (Sunday) at the Vivocity Toys ‘R’ Us so if you are out with your family and are around the area, do pop in.
