The winner of the LEGO Ideas First Review Stage has been completed and it is has been announced that is it the “Old Fishing Store”!
There were a total of nine entries in this review: Fossil Museum, Gingerbread House, Modular Train Station, Old Fishing Store, Jedi High Council, Particle Accelerator, Jurassic Park Visitor Center, Rolling BB-8, and Johnny Five.
While I’m a little bummed that Johnny Five didn’t make it but I’m quite stoked that The Old Fishing Store is going to be made into a set.
This selection might actually result in the largest LEGO Ideas set to ever to be produced as the original design is around 2100 pieces.
Old Fishing Store
Fishing has always been a central point in Robert Bontenbal’s life. This big passion, in combination with his day job as an architectural draughtsman, is what came together to create this beautiful model that is packed with lovely details and play opportunities. Its creative building style represents a unique design expression for LEGO houses that we’re all very excited about.
There has been no details on pricing but it should be released some time next year.
Congrats Robert Bontenbal! Great job on the LEGO Ideas win!
